PAINT THE TOWN EVENTS
Be sure to pay attention to the address of your class, as we sometimes are in different locations throughout the month, in addition to our studio location. Check our calendar when you register, but once a month during spring/summer months we paint with Mother Road Brewing, Dark Sky Brewing, and Flagstaff Brewing Company, downtown. We really appreciate our partnership with each downtown brewery! Bars provide a different environment where you can paint and enjoy social time with friends. Most tickets include one free drink; all others can be purchased directly from the brewery. We periodically have FUNdraising events at our studio – your class info will indicate if a portion of your ticket that night will benefit a local non-profit.
PET PORTRAITS
Paint Your Pet Night is a favorite of ours! You submit a head shot of your favorite pet (dog, cat, bird, horse, goat, ferret… you name it!), we pre-sketch your canvas for you, then you come to class and are led through painting your canvas. Great gift idea if you want to paint a pet for someone! You can choose the vibrant pop-art style, or go with more traditional colors for your pet. Email us your pet portrait or text a photo to 928-863-2636. We just need one or two head shots of your pet. One pet per painting, only. Photos must be received by the deadline listed in the event. These classes are $55, due to the additional work involved in prepping your canvas. One additional pet sketch to the same canvas is a $15 upcharge. Class time is extended to allow for individual instruction as every painting is different; and we limit the size of the classes to allow for more personalized attention.
DATE NIGHT
Get creative with your honey, your bestie, your kiddo or another significant other! On some nights, we even offer a double-canvas class where each person paints their own canvas, each a half of a larger painting. The two can then be hung side-by-side or separately. This covers all the materials for both of you to create your own masterpieces, as well as a memory-filled evening. Laugh, relax and have a great night! BYOBÂ wine, champagne or beer after 4 p.m. in our studio location only. PLEASE NOTE: Drinks are a separate purchase at all locations other than our studio.
WANT TO BOOK A PRIVATE EVENT?
Want to pick the date, time and featured painting for your group? Book a private event. Private events (non-refundable deposit required that will be applied toward your final total) include:
A 2- to 3-hour class with instruction for $40/person (16×20 stretched canvas). *There is a $4 per canvas upcharge for any Arizona State design, as they require additional pre-sketch and canvas preparation. Minimum commitment of $200 required for private events. Check out our regular weekly classes if you have a smaller group; we can almost always fit fewer than 10 people in to any existing class. You MUST have purchased a ticket to enter and remain in the studio. This is to comply with our BYOB regulations - thanks in advance for your help! We recommend arriving just about 15 minutes early to greet friends, put on a painting apron, pour a drink and get settled in.
A note on parking – we are Downtown Flagstaff and parking is managed by ParkFlag. You can check out more details on parking, here: https://www.parkflag.org/downtown-parking. Please plan to carpool, Uber, take a taxi or park nearby and walk a few blocks if you are bringing a large party in. Â
Our studio can seat up to 50 painters comfortably. We can do off-site events for up to 150 people! We bring the table coverings and easels, and materials required to create a masterpiece! You provide tables/chairs. For very large parties, we ask that you have access to a document camera/projection screen so everyone learning can watch our artist paint.
We provide the artist to lead you, canvas, paint, easel, brushes, aprons if you are at our studio, and anything else needed to create your masterpiece. You can bring your own snacks and drinks. Alcohol is permitted only after 4 p.m. if the event is at our studio. If you are wanting to enjoy a meal together, we recommend hitting a restaurant before or after and making painting with us a stop along the way! Because of limited space, we do not recommend bringing more than snacks/appetizers to the studio. Remember you will be busy painting the majority of the time, while you chat in between artist instruction. Get ready to relax, laugh and have a great time!
You get to choose the painting you would like to create! There are many options on our website at www.creativespiritsaz.com/designs.
Off-site events are an additional $125 for set-up. For events 50-100 people, our set-up fee is $250. For more than 100 people, we charge $300 for set-up. We may also charge an additional fee to travel outside of Flagstaff. We typically allow 2 hours for set-up of large events. In most cases, we do not provide tables and chairs or A/V equipment for off-site events. We will coordinate with you and let you know what is needed for a successful experience!
We are available weeknights, and on Saturdays at almost any time. If you need to schedule something during a weekday, please call us to make arrangements. In some cases, we are willing to add on some additional studio time to your reservation; however, please note that we are not a party rental facility. Your guests must be registered painters. Please call to discuss pricing options with us if you require more than the normal 2-3 hours of studio time. Subject to availability of our team members. Cancellation for private events: Any deposit we collect ahead of time is non-refundable. The remaining balance for your event is due the day of your event. If you want to pay sooner, call us for arrangements.
CHILDREN’S PARTIES
Paint Parties for Ages 5-12
Let your little artist shine with a special Paint Party at Creative Spirits. Parties can be scheduled throughout the week in the evenings or during most times on Saturdays. We may occasionally be able to do a party during the day on a weekday; please call us to make arrangements if this is something you need. This is a wonderful way to let your young ones get creative in a fun and safe environment! Great for birthdays, play dates, sports team-building, etc.
Creative Spirits provides a creative and fun atmosphere for children ages 5 – 12.  Your child and their friends will learn to paint and have a great time doing it! The best part is they go home with a painting that is truly their own masterpiece. They may even discover a talent that they’ll want to explore!
Party Info ($50 non-refundable deposit must be made at time of booking)
Package price of $250 includes:Â Â
- 8×10 Canvas Panel for up to 15 painters (any additional painters, $15/each); Acrylic Paint; Brushes; Easels; Aprons for the children to use; Instructor/and helper if needed; Access to refrigerator for cold food or drinks; 2-hour party – includes painting at the beginning and then time for cake, snacks, goodies, and opening presents. We can bring the party to you for an additional $125 travel/set-up fee. In most cases, we do not provide tables and chairs or any A/V equipment for off-site events.
